The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) today revealed that it has converted 53,000 scratch-and-display parking coupons to e-coupons as of yesterday (12 April 2022). The exchange was done through the Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) mobile application, involving approximately RM35,000 worth of transactions.
This was after the Selangor state government announced that all scratch-and-display parking coupon holders must register as SSP users to transfer the value of their vouchers into e-coupons inside the app. Residents can do so starting 26 March 2022 with no end date being announced just yet.

Selangor State Local Government, Public Transport and New Village Development Committee chairman, Ng Sze Han today revealed that a total of 613 illegal telecommunication towers were built in the state over the past decade. Speaking in the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (DUN), Ng said that action will be taken against the owners of these towers, including the issuance of demolition notice for the illegal structures by the end of March.
Furthermore, Ng, who is also the assemblyperson for Kinrara elaborated that the number was obtained from the Periodic Monitoring Operation and Site Audit report carried out in cooperation with Yakin Telesel Sdn Bhd (YTSB) last year. Ng was replying to a question by the Assemblyperson for Balakong, Wong Siew Ki who wanted to know the number of illegal telecommunication towers in Selangor, the effects on the state government’s revenue and actions taken about it.

Following the severe floods that plagued most of the state in December last year, the Selangor State Government has announced that a new flood warning system will be operational by the end of this month. The high-tech system will be able to predict floods 7 days in advance as well as areas in Selangor that will be affected.
The matter was announced yesterday by the Selangor State Infrastructure and Agriculture Committee chairman Izham Hashim who believed that Selangor will soon be able to manage future floods more effectively with the new system in place. As reported by Malay Mail, Izham said that the 7 days advance notice will help to put rescue teams on alert to respond to any rise in water levels.
