Sony NEX-5T officially announced with built-in WiFi and NFC

Sony recently made an official announcement for their teeny tiny Sony NEX-5T digital camera. Combining E-mount interchangeable lens with built-in WiFi and NFC features, the camera offers tech specs which include a 16.1MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, advanced fast hybrid AF, up to ISO 25600, a 3-inch touch display (rotateable to 180-degrees) and can capture full HD 1080p 60fps videos. While Sony Malaysia say that it is coming soon there wasn't any news about release dates in Malaysia just yet but we're guessing it should arrive locally when the Sony NEX-5T is launched internationally in September 2013. Like the local release dates, the Sony NEX-5T price in Malaysia was also missing, but it is currently going for $699.99 (RM2325) with a 16-50mm lens.

    Canon releases EOS 100D / Rebel SL1

DSLR cameras are not usually known for their small size or light weight, but Canon's recently released EOS 100D or otherwise known as the Rebel SL1 changes all this by being one of the smallest and lightest DSLR cameras in the world. Weighing in at a mere 400g the DSLR is just a little heavier than a standard 7-inch tablet or paperback book and yet manages to avoid the "like a toy"  feeling you get with too lightweight devices. This is probably due to the solid plastic body and ergonomic design. Other features include:

    • 18MP sensor
    • Hybrid CMOS AF II system
    • 80% viewfinder coverage
    • 3 - inch capacitive screen
    • 9 point AF system
