Today, Sony Malaysia just announced that the fifth batch for the PlayStation 5 pre-order. From their Facebook post, the pre-order will commence from 16 April 2021 at 00:01 hours onwards. As usual, the PS5 still costs RM2299.

Once again, the PlayStation 5 stocks are back and it will be on sale on 3 March at 12 PM. Available on Sony's official online store on Shopee Mall, the PS5 Digital Edition is priced at RM1869 while the Ultra HD Blu-ray version is priced at RM2299. However, there are other gadgets on sale during Shopee's 3.3 Electronics Big Sale as well.

Ever since the Sony PlayStation 5 got released, it was sold out within less than a day. Sony Malaysia did the second batch of pre-order from 8 January onwards but we aren't sure how many went to get it due to the pandemic.

Other than making the PlayStation 5 (PS5) backward compatible with PlayStation 4 (PS4) games, there is another PS4 thing that Sony would like to bring over and it's the PlayStation VR. Currently, the company is working hard to improve the VR experience to match the PS5. However, a leak suggested that they might also be making a totally new VR headset for the next-gen console.

The pre-order of PS5 started on 11 November in Malaysia and all of them were sold out in just one day. For those who got to secure one, congratulations! However, for some, the whole pre-order process might not be that smooth. Other than expressing disappointment towards the stocks on social media platforms, some users have also pointed out Gamers Hideout requiring buyers to go through PWP (Purchase with Purchase) to pre-order the PS5. Today, Sony has unofficially made a statement regarding the issue.

While we’re still stuck here waiting for the Sony PlayStation 5 or PS5 to arrive next month (and the pre-order is sold out already), it appears that this may just be a good thing as new Sony PS5 owners have found a fairly disastrous bug. The bug in question reportedly does not let you download games or apps that you’ve already purchased, particularly Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
