Today, Sony has officially announced the price and sales date for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) from their livestream event. The PS5 first wave will start in seven countries starting from 12 November 2020 onwards starting from $399.99 (~RM1652). Malaysia won't be part of the first wave, but we don't have to wait that long as the PS5 will arrive from 19 November 2020 onwards.

The long-awaited Sony PlayStation 5 has finally unveiled itself at the virtual event. Sony announced a number of accessories aside from the DualSense controller but the eye-catching one was the latest PlayStation 5 which comes in two versions, the PS5 Standard Version and also the PS5 Digital Edition.

The new Sony PlayStation 5 will be unveiled real soon and it will be one of the first news you read tomorrow morning. Sony have been very secretive about the next-gen gaming console but it seems that there was a blooper. According to sources, an Amazon website from England accidentally listed the PS5 test link and exposed the price tag.

We are just a day (or 2 if we are counting Malaysia's time zone) away from Sony revealing their upcoming anticipated next-gen gaming console and it's an exciting time for gamers around the world. As usual, product image renders tend to leak online before the official launch so we just got a good look at how the PlayStation 5 console might look like.

The Sony PlayStation 5 is slated to launch later this year but Sony has yet to determine the price for the console. Sources claimed that the manufacturing costs for the company's latest gaming console are hiking up, mainly caused by a scarcity of certain components.

Previously, it was announced that Sony's PlayStation 5 is slated for a Holiday 2020 release, now we have a rumoured date for this - at least for North America. According to a Tweet from PSErebus, Sony's next-gen console will launch in North America on 20 November 2020 for a retail price of USD 499 (~RM2038).

Based on a statement by wccftech.com and a Twitter user, the upcoming Sony Playstation 5 could have the same graphical performance as the Nvidia RTX 2080 graphics processor with a GPU clock speed of up to 2Ghz. While not much is known in regards to the actual tech specs of the console, it is rumoured that it could sport an AMD Ryzen processor as well as ray tracing capabilities.
