Previously, it was said that the Sony Xperia 1 will be making its way into the Malaysia market which was surprising since Sony Mobile did withdraw quietly. But that's all changed now, thanks to an official statement by Sony Malaysia. The price, however, will be RM4299 and it's set to appear at the Sony Expo 2019 on 30 August 2019.

Based on a statement from a Sony representative, it seems that Malaysia will be getting the Sony Xperia 1 sometime in the future. This is quite surprising, due to the fact that Sony had pretty much withdrawned from Malaysia as well as the Southeast Asian market.

As some of you might have heard - it was reported that Sony Mobile has already withdrawn from the Southeast Asia market silently and that's most unfortunate (because that includes Malaysia as well).
