Huawei is blazing new ground in the midrange market here in Malaysia with their Huawei Honor smartphones. While the Huawei Honor 3C is gaining ground in the below RM500 range, the curvy Huawei Honor 6 has been released for below RM1000. Offering flagship features that include 4G LTE Cat6, Huawei's own octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 920 processor and an IR (infra-red) blaster for a universal remote control feature, the Honor 6 could well be the next flagship smartphone killer in the Malaysian market. U Mobile is currently offering Sony's Selfie smartphone, the Sony Xperia C3 from RM366. The Xperia C3 retails for RM999 and supports 4G LTE along with tech specs that include a 1.25GHz quad-core processor, 5.5-inch Triluminos display, 8MP rear camera and the most notable feature, a 5MP front camera with LED flash. You will have to sign up for a 24-month contract under either the U58 or U88 postpaid plans. There is also an added no upfront payment offer, but you have to pay for the phone using your credit card and auto debit the monthly fee to be eligible. Sony is joining the selfie bandwagon with the official announcement of the Sony Xperia C3 smartphone. While it has tech specs that slot it into the midrange market, the most notable features include a 5MP front camera complete with LED flash. Like some other selfie cameraphones, the Xperia C3 front camera is wide angle and features a Superior Auto mode for automatic enhancement, portrait retouch, Timeshift-burst and sweep panorama. Other selfie features include a double tap rear control which triggers the camera and a smile shutter feature which takes the shot when you smile. Other tech specs include the following:
