The recently announced FIRST Basic 38 by Celcom postpaid plan offers a number of attractive features and services for just RM38 a month at full speeds on one of the fastest networks in Malaysia. On top of the 3GB Internet + 3GB WiFi for a limited 3 month promotional time, 50 minutes worth of calls and 50 SMS for free along with up to 3GB of carry forward unused Internet to the next month Celcom is also offering complimentary smartphones. Simply add on RM10 a month to your FIRST Basic 38 by Celcom plan for a complimentary smartphone. These include the Samsung Galaxy V or the Sony Xperia E4g for another RM158 (which was previously available as a separate package). You also have the option to sign up for either a 12 month or 24 month contract. In addition, subscribers can also get two movie passes from ESCAPE as part of the bundle. Celcom Axiata Berhad and Sony Mobile Communications are now offering the Sony Xperia E4g with FIRST by Celcom postpaid plans. The Xperia E4g can be had or as low as RM158 on a 24-month contract with advance payment of RM250. If you don't paying a bit more at RM298 you can sign up for a 12 month contract with advance payment of RM100. The Xperia E4g offers tech specs that include a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage + up to 32GB microSD, 4.7-inch 960 x 540 pixel display, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 4G LTE/3G connectivity. Sony has officially announced the Sony Xperia E4g for the entry level market. While it is notable that the Xperia  E4g shrinks the display down to a 4.7-inch screen with 540 x 960 pixel resolution it also packs in 4G LTE connectivity and a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor. Other tech specs and features remain the same except for the measurements which is 133 x 71 x 10.8mm compared to the thinner but bigger Sony Xperia E4. No exact Malaysia release dates or pricing details were available but it is expected to arrive in April 2015 at $145 (RM525).
