The Sony Xperia Z1s is supposedly the mini international version of Sony's flagship Xperia Z1 cameraphone. What makes it so different from all the other mini smartphones is that while the battery and screen size have been shrunk down to 4.3-inch display sized smartphone, the Xperia Z1s retains most of the hardware that makes the Xperia Z1 such an awesome cameraphone. This includes tech specs like the Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 20.7MP camera. Recently, leaked images of the Sony Xperia Z1s have leaked confirming this. While the overall design looks more or less the same as the Z1, the shrink makes the bezels look larger than they really are. The only noticeable change seems to be the Sony brand instead of DoCoMo which came out in the Japan only version. While we've known that the Sony Xperia Z1f or the mini version of the Sony Xperia Z1 would most probably arrive, we've still not confirmed whether or not it is just a smaller version with the same tech specs and hardware (asides from the battery and screen size of course) or is it just another cut-down mini version? Recent AnTuTu benchmarks have appeared showing that it could well be the former as the Z1f gets a score of 34376 compared to the 30838 of the Sony Xperia Z1. This is partly because the screen is smaller and the GPU can do more. Check out the benchmark score in the video below. Tech specs for the Z1f are so far confirmed the same as the Z1 including:

Most smartphone manufacturers tend to make Mini versions of their flagship smartphones and now with the official announcement of the Sony Xperia Z1, rumours have started about a Sony Xperia Z1 Mini. This includes a render of the front panel for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini and a rumour that the Mini version would be nearly identical with the actual Z1. So far, the only differences in tech specs for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini include a 4.3-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and a smaller 2400 mAh battery. Other tech specs and features like the Snapdragon 800 processor and chipset, 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage along with the 20.7MP camera are rumoured to be maintained for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini. While there are still no Malaysia release dates, many are expecting the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini to arrive right before Christmas as that would be the best time for gift-giving (sales) in the year. 

While we're still deciding if it's going to be called the Sony Xperia Z1 or Sony i1 Honami, rumours have come out that Sony are already preparing a Mini version of their rumoured cameraphone. While it will be packing a smaller 4.3-inch screen and 2400 mAh battery because of the smaller form factor, rumours indicate that everything else could be exactly the same with the bigger Sony Xperia Z1. This means that the tech specs for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini or Sony i1 Honami Mini could include:

• 4.3-inch display
• 20MP camera (Sony G lens, f/2.0 aperture)
