    Apple announces 5nm M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, significant performance and battery life increase

    Apple have announced their M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets with the M2 Pro delivering up to 12-core CPU and up to 19-core GPU with up to 32GB of fast unified memory. The M2 Max utilizes this same CPU but goes a level higher with a 38-core GPU, double the unified memory bandwidth and up to 96GB of unified memory. Both chips feature a faster 16-core Neural Engine and are featured in Apple’s latest MacBook Pro and Mac Mini lineups.

    Qualcomm could launch the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset by Q3 2020

    A new rumour has appeared, claiming that Qualcomm could be launching the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset as early as Q3 2020. Back in 2018, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 855 chipset in December, before following up with the Plus version in July 2019. If Qualcomm follows this pattern, the Q3 2020 launch window could be true.
