Today, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has instructed telecommunications providers nationwide to closely monitor network performance during the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri period. The move aims to ensure Malaysians continue to enjoy smooth and reliable connectivity as millions travel and communicate during the festive season.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil today announced that telco companies involved in the dual-network 5G model are ready to sign an agreement to take up equities in Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB). He added that this is in line with the timeline to complete the share subscription agreement process for the DNB equity acquisition by 21 June.

Malaysians have been experiencing slow internet speeds and some technical issues during the movement control order (MCO). Defense Minister Ismail Yaakob said Telco and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are now allowed to do installations and maintenance works at customers’ homes during MCO.
