The long-running TikTok US saga could potentially come to a close soon, as the related parties get ready to meet. Officials from China and the US have allegedly reached a "framework agreement" to transfer TikTok's US operations to a US-controlled business or entity.

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has now shared with reporters that Microsoft is in talks to take over TikTok's operations in the United States. However, no further information regarding this has been shared. So, what should you know about it?

Following the ban-or-divest law passed in the US last year, TikTok has gone dark today, with users blocked from viewing videos in the country. Furthermore, the TikTok app has also been removed from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
