Tinder’s trying something new—and it’s all about not dating alone. The app just launched a Double Date feature in the U.S, with plans to bring it to other countries soon.

Popular dating app Tinder as well as other similar apps from its parent company Match Group may be removed from the Google Play Store following the latest development on the two parties’ legal battle. It all started earlier this year when Match Group sued Google for requiring all Android developers to process ‘digital goods services’ payments through the Play Store billing system.

During the pandemic, it's hard to meet our family and friends that live away from us, let alone strangers. With that said, Tinder will now widely roll out a new feature that allows users of the dating app to video call each other. It is called Face to Face and will soon be available in the app.

With the global pandemic still a threat in many countries, it has become harder for people to date due to the need for maintaining social distancing. That's something Tinder intends to help with, using its new video chat feature. Simply called 'Face to Face', the feature is now in beta in several countries.
