It seems that Singapore has started a new 3-month trial for self-driving buses which can be booked via an app when you’re around the Singapore Science Park area. Based on what our source mentioned, while this isn’t the first time self-driving buses were tested in the city, it is the first of its kind to charge a fee of 0.20SGD (~RM0.60).

Based on a statement by gizmochina, it seems that Apple will be collaborating with Hyundai Motor to manufacture Apple’s upcoming vehicle called the Apple Car. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date and local pricing of the aforementioned vehicle, our source did mention that it will most likely be available in either 2024 or 2028.

It seems that Grab has started testing the new GrabBike transportation service around the KLCC area with price starting from as low as RM3.70. In addition to that, there is also the GrabBike for female passengers where they will ride only with a female rider.

Ever since the government has agreed to allow intermediary businesses to provide motorcycle excursion services, the 'Proof of Concept' (POC) in Kuala Lumpur will begin in January 2020 for six months mentioned by the Minister of Transport. In line with that, Grab has launched the GrabBike program and is now open for registration to all riders around Klang Valley.

Grab announced that they are expanding to four more major cities, bringing the total of cities they service in Malaysia to nine major cities. Effective March 15, Grab will be available as an alternative mode of transportation in Ipoh, Kuantan, Kuching and Seremban (which includes the districts of Nilai and Port Dickson too!).

After many problems and bumps along the way, Putrajaya has finally said yes to legalising both Uber and Grab in Malaysia. The government has tasked the Land and Public Transport Commission (SPAD) to iron out the terms and conditions.
