4G LTE now available for all Tune Talk subscribers

Last week, we reported that Tune Talk will launch 4G LTE services in Malaysia. Later on, the carrier announced that the high speed network would be available to select customers. Now, the company has announced via its twitter account that 4G LTE on Tune Talk is available for all subscribers. In order to take advantage of this LTE network, existing customers will have to swap their SIMs with a new 64K USIM card. Unfortunately, the carrier adds that the stocks are limited at the moment, so those interested in taking advantage of this network will have to hurry up before the stocks run out. The SIM card is available at certain stores while the pricing will remain the existing rate for its customers. Plans start at 50MB for 88 sen a day, to up to 5GB for RM68 per month. The carrier also revealed that 4G LTE customers can expect speeds from 10Mbps to up to 30Mbps. However, the actual speed received will depend on the signal strength and coverage. You can find out more details about Tune Talk's 4G LTE network from the Tune Talk site.

Tune Talk to launch 4G LTE next week, existing users will have to shift to a new SIM

Tune Talk has just announced that it will be offering 4G LTE services sometime this week. The carrier already offers a number of affordable Internet plans. In fact, just last week, the carrier announced that it would revamp its existing internet plans to make it more affordable and enticing. This is quite the opposite of what mainstream carriers are doing, i.e. increasing the internet rates. The carrier currently uses Celcom's 2G and 3G network bands to operate in the country. But from next week, it will offer 4G LTE internet too. Since this is an upgraded network frequency, users will have to swap their existing 3G SIM cards for a new 4G compatible one. The telco has not yet announced whether it would charge customers for the swap, but for now, you can win a free 4G enabled SIM card if you retweet their status. Tune Talk has not revealed the new pricing for the 4G data plans but it's existing ones are quite affordable. You get 5GB data for RM68 and 3GB data for RM52.
