    U Mobile release HTC One bundles

    With the HTC One officially launching last week, it was only a matter of time before the telco bundles came out as well, which is what U Mobile had in mind with these HTC One bundles. Considering that the HTC One is probably higher priced than most other smartphones of its class at around RM2299 it is great that U Mobile is offering the smartphone from as low as RM1488.     Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV Telco Plan Comparison

    Practically all of the major telcos have already come out with their bundle plans for the Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV. While not totally unexpected, all of them are offering the Non-LTE enabled Exynos 5 Octa powered Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV or I9500. The estimated RRP for this model is at RM2199. According to some telcos the LTE-enabled version or I9505 is coming soon, perhaps to be offered with a suitable LTE bundle plan.

    After a bit of registering interest and waiting, U Mobile have finally sent off their Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV bundle details. On top of offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV at just RM899, they've also included a new plan called the U Plus plan. This new U Plus plan is supposedly for only selected loyal U Mobile postpaid customers so if you're a prepaid user or have only just started with the U Mobile bandwagon you're out of luck. The other plans that go with the Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV include the U58, U88 and the U Premium plans. For more details, check out the table below:

    Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV officially launching in Malaysia! Updated Launch Locations

    It's finally official. The Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV is going to be officially launched in Malaysia on 27 April 2013 at a still 'secret' location. Thankfully, Malaysia is one of the countries to get the first roll-out of Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV smartphones. Still no news on pricing but all things considered you should probably prepare around RM2200 as all of the Malaysian Telcos we've seen have the RRP for the Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV at RM2199.

    U Mobile Drops Samsung Galaxy SIII and Note II Prices

    After the Samsung Galaxy SIII and Samsung Galaxy Note II retail prices took a dip down to RM1699 and RM1999 respectively it is now U Mobile's turn to drop the prices for bundles offering these devices. The Samsung Galaxy SIII is available for the U58, U88 and U Premium plans while the Samsung Galaxy Note II is available for all of the plans.     U Mobile opens up Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV Pre-registration

    U Mobile recently opened up their Pre-Registration page for the Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV here. Their pre-registration closes on 30 April 2013 but they say that they will contact you starting from 24 April 2013. If you're interested about getting a Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV under U Mobile then you should definitely try it out. Details include your name, IC number and other personal details but it does ask if you're an existing U Mobile customer. No details on whether this gets you anything special but this may just be the case when 24 April 2013 swings about.

    With the 8th of April the BlackBerry Z10 is now officially available for our major telcos in Malaysia. This includes Celcom from RM1188, DiGi from RM899, Maxis from RM1088 and U-Mobile from RM1268.

    Celcom's BlackBerry Z10 offerings go for their First Prime, Premier and Elite plans along with their mPro plans. Check out the table below for all the details:

    U Mobile Unleashes Sony Xperia Z in Malaysia at RM999

    Sony Xperia Z fans out there should rejoice as U Mobile is now offering the smartphone for as low as RM999 on the U Premium bundle or from RM1688 to RM 1488 via their U58 and U88 bundles respectively. The U Premium bundle in particular offers the Sony Xperia Z at a subsidized price of RM999 with a monthly of RM187 and 5GB worth of data. Bear in mind that the U Premium bundle is only available for the first 50 units of the Sony Xperia Z only and that the U58, U88 and U Premium bundles are going for 24 month contracts.

    It's finally official. The Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV is going to be officially launched in Malaysia on 27 April 2013 at 'below' location. Thankfully, Malaysia is one of the countries to get the first roll-out of Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV smartphones. Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV price in Malaysia shall be RM2199 (RRP).

  • Pakej Komunikasi Belia (PKB) or Youth Communication Package – RM200 Smartphone Rebate

    What is the Pakej Komunikasi Belia (PKB) or Youth Communication Package?

    Pakej Komunikasi Belia (PKB) or the Youth Communication Package is a scheme under the Malaysian National Broadband Initiative that grants youth aged 21 to 30 with income below RM3,000 to get RM200 rebate off selected 3G smartphones from telco nominated registered dealers in 2013. This initiative, coordinated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), was announced by the Prime Minister as part of Budget 2013 tabled in September this year to encourage more youths especially those in rural areas to enjoy the nation’s broadband facilities.
