Today, U Mobile has announced Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan as its latest brand ambassadors, following the rollout of its ULTRA5G products and services. The duo, currently ranked among the world’s top women’s doubles pairs, were selected to represent the telco’s latest offerings, particularly its new-generation postpaid plans.

U Mobile’s enterprise division, U Business, has completed a proof of concept focused on tracking high-value air cargo using a 5G-IoT architecture. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Qualcomm and City-Link Express, targeting improved visibility and efficiency in logistics operations. The project integrates U Business’ ULTRA IoT connectivity with Qualcomm’s positioning technology, creating a real-time tracking system designed for complex supply chain environments.

A new report by Opensignal highlights a key strength of U Mobile’s Ultra5G network, and it is not just about raw speed. Instead, the telco is gaining ground in one of the most challenging areas of mobile connectivity, indoor coverage.

U Mobile recently announced that it is implementing 5G in-building coverage at 6 major transport hubs in Malaysia with the support of EDOTCO, covering entire floors and terminal facilities without relying on hotspots.
