Unifi has recently updated its website to include a new Fibre Broadband package, starting from a promotional RM199 for speeds up to 300Mbps download as well as upload speeds of up to 50Mbps. Based on the FAQ document, once the promotion ends on 30 June 2019, the price will revert back to its original cost of RM259. That being said, if you sign up before the promotional period ends, the promo price of RM199 a month will be charged indefinitely until the account is terminated.

Opensignal is back with their Mobile Network Experience Report for April 2019 and this time Maxis and Celcom are vying for the top spot with each retaining clear positions like Download Speed Experience (Maxis) and 4G Availability (Celcom). Both are neck and neck in Video Experience though while Maxis retains best Latency Experience and Celcom achieves best Upload Speed experience, for a draw for top spot.

Unifi has announced that they are the first service provider in Malaysia to offer the nation’s first Time Division Duplex Pre-5G wireless technology, which aims to provide better connectivity to areas that do not have suitable infrastructure to have conventional equipment installed.

Telekom Malaysia recently blasted out e-mails stating that the Unifi Basic Plan which costs RM79 for 30Mbps, will continue to have unlimited internet quota all the way until 31 March 2019. After that, the internet quota of 60GB will be imposed and going over the aforementioned quota will have bandwidth speeds cut down to as low as 512Kbps.

Unifi has recently announced on their Twitter account that there is a service disruption in Tawau and Lahad Datu, due to a cable fire incident in the area, affecting homes and businesses alike.

Unifi has announced that in conjunction with the recently announced #khabarbaik movement, they have introduced the Unifi mobile plan with price starting from as low as RM19 a month called ‘Adik’ which provides with a total of 2GB of internet data, 5 minutes of talk time as well as being able to send up to 25 SMS.

Good news for all future TM UniFi customer, as Telekom Malaysia will be offering an expedited installation service to have the UniFi service and equipment installed within 24 hours. While the expedited service is free for now, customers who register after 31 March 2019 will need to pay an RM200 fee for it. This is due to a recent update on UniFi’s FAQ document, which is found on their official website.

TM UniFi has announced that in conjunction with the 2019 Lunar New Year, they will be offering existing and new UniFi Basic customers an opportunity to experience unlimited quota and uncapped internet until 15 February 2019. Do take the word “uncapped” with a grain of salt and UniFi did not mention any bandwidth limitations during the promo.

TMnet has released a statement on their Twitter account stating that there will be a slight service disruption due to a cable cut which was caused by a TNB construction at Alor Akar. Based on the statement, Alor Akar is a key landing site for internet traffic coming from Sabah and Sarawak.

Telekom Malaysia has released a mobile app for Unifi users to check their account status, bill payments, and even get in touch with Unifi representatives through the live chat available in the mobile app. Previously all of these were only made possible through Unifi's very own web manager but with the advent of the app released, it would make account management more efficient and convenient than ever before. The app is available on the Google Play store as well as the iOS App store starting today.
