These areas include shopping malls, business centres, tourist spots as well as several educational sectors such as colleges and universities. By connecting to the aforementioned Digi WiFi, the user can have unlimited internet quota with speeds of up to 4Mbps starting from only RM1.

Based on a statement by cnet.com, the development of the new Wi-Fi 7 standard is currently underway which promises up to 30Gbps in speeds over Wi-Fi connection. Not only will it be significantly faster compared to today’s standards, but it will also be broadcasted over 6GHz frequency which was first introduced in Wi-Fi 6.

A new study and research from University of Washington may solve that problem however, as they have developed a new WiFi system dubbed Passive WiFi, which consumes about 10,000 times less power than conventional systems.
