Previously, Netflix announced its intention to acquire Warner Bros. However, many things happened then, including Paramount coming into the bidding war picture. After a few months, Netflix then called off its offer. Warner Bros. Discovery today has announced that its shareholders have officially approved the company’s proposed transaction with Paramount Skydance, marking a major step forward in one of the biggest media deals in recent years.

As Max by Warner Bros. Discovery launches today in Malaysia, Astro also announced that all customers can now enjoy access to the app on Astro GO and On Demand. Max is also available to download on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

As reported last week, Warner Bros. Discovery will be releasing Max, a brand-new streaming service for Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Replacing HBO Go on 19 November 2024, the company has given us the official prices for each plan in the Malaysian market.
