Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft better watch out as there may be a new contender in the console field. Slightly Mad Studios, the company behind the games Project CARS 2 and Need for Speed: Shift, is currently working on a new console named “Mad Box” and it is expected to be out in 3.5 years’ time.

As one of the major game consoles around, the Sony Playstation 4 is Sony's return to their roots. While there may be gamers who don't care about how much money they throw at their games and gaming consoles, these still don't compare to users who'd go out and get a $10000 (RM32375) Xbox One just because they can. Still, if one likes gold and other shiny things, then a gold plated Xbox One should be perfect. Currently available for around $10000 (RM32375), the gold plated Xbox One is available from Harrods of London. Tech specs and features are more or less the same but if the controller is also gold-plated you can expect to get tired from couch gaming very soon. No news yet of a gold plated AND crystal covered version yet, but just wait and see. Also no news of any Malaysia release dates or pricing, but if you're willing to shell out RM32375 for a game console, travel or shipping shouldn't be an issue.

When Microsoft first announced their latest next-gen console the Xbox One, it came with a whole bunch of restrictions including having to be always online and you couldn't lend games to more than one person. Even then, lending was one big hassle just for that one friend. Xbox fans can now rejoice though as Microsoft are taking back those policies. Check out the quote below:
"An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.

Based on a recent interview from Alan Bowman, Microsoft regional vice president for sales and marketing in Asia, the Xbox One will only be brought over to Asia in November... 2014. Even then, this will only be for existing Asian Xbox Live countries such as Hong Kong, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan. Malaysia was unfortunately not in the list.
