The Xiaomi Mi 11 5G was unveiled last week but Xiaomi Malaysia was quiet about the local release until today. At 11 AM today, the company finally broke the silence and will officially launch the phone on 25 February 2021 in Malaysia.

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone in the global market, and it starts from the price of 749 Euros (~RM3662). While not much is known in regards to the Malaysian release date and pricing, we do know that it will most likely be drastically cheaper compared to the European market. 

Based on a report by 91mobiles.com, it seems that Xiaomi will be releasing several products such as the Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone, 75-inch Mi QLED 4k TV, as well as the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 on 8 February 2021. But that’s not all, it seems that Xiaomi will also release the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition of the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 during the launch as well.

Just a few hours ago, Xiaomi Malaysia just confirmed that the anticipated Xiaomi Mi 11 will be launching in Malaysia soon. It was a short teaser post on their Facebook page and the only thing they said was about Android 11. That's not much information, but here's a recap of what you should know about the phone and price.

Based on a statement by ithome.com, it seems that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will most likely be unveiled around Q1 2021 after the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 11. While not much is known in regards to the exact tech specs and release date of the smartphone in question, it does give us a better idea on what to expect when it is officially released in the global market.

Last month, Xiaomi have released the Mi 11 with the Snapdragon 888 chipset, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, 120Hz refresh rate, and more. But this device would not come with the charging adapter in the box just like the iPhone 12 series.

Based on a statement by Zhang Guoquan on his weibo account, it seems that charging the Xiaomi Mi 11 using the 65W GaN charger might cause the smartphone to be stuck in a boot loop. With that being said, Xiaomi mentioned that they are currently working on a fix to stop the smartphone from getting stuck in a boot loop while charging using the 65W GaN charger.

It seems that the Xiaomi Mi 11 was recently tested by DisplayMate, and the smartphone managed to achieve a grade of A+, which is the highest grade in the DisplayMate ranking system. To elaborate, the smartphone managed to earn either a Very Good or higher rating on the majority of the tests that were conducted.

Finally, the Xiaomi Mi 11 has arrived as the first device with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Not only becoming the first to come with the chipset, but it is also the first Chinese phone to have the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
