    Xiaomi Mi4's battery lasts for almost two days on a single charge

    Xiaomi has made sure that its latest Xiaomi Mi 4 flagship smartphone is one of the best in the market with a powerful 2.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM and a large 3080 non-removable Lithium-ion battery. In a recent battery tests conducted by PhoneArena, the Xiaomi Mi4 came out as one of the best in terms of battery life with enough charge to power the phone for 8 hours and 32 minutes. In real life terms (moderate usage), this talk time figure would translate into around 2 days of usage without having to connect to a power outlet. The Motorola Droid Turbo and the Sony Xperia Z3 were the only two smartphones that could beat this impressive figure. The fourth in the list was the OnePlus One at 8 hours and 5 minutes. Other notable Mi4 features and tech specs include a 5 inch 1920 x 1080p display, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front shooter, 4G LTE connectivity, an IR blaster and IP67 certified for water and dust resistance.

    Rumours: Meizu MX4 photos leak, almost no bezels

    The upcoming rumoured Meizu MX4 smartphone has apparently been photographed with a picture showing the smartphone to have nearly no bezels. While the rest of the design follows the Apple iPhone right down to the rounded corners and circular home button, the screen looks to be much bigger. Rumoured tech specs include a versions that will have a 5.5-inch screen with 1536 x 2560 pixel resolution along with a version offering a 5-inch screen and 1080 x 1800 pixel resolution. Other tech specs include 3GB of RAM, a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. No Malaysia release dates or pricing yet and it will likely never come to Malaysia unless through third-party sellers. However, the Meizu MX4 is rumoured to be priced around $320 (RM1011) perhaps to give the Xiaomi Mi 4 some competition.

    In conjunction with the fourth anniversary of their MIUI user interface, Xiaomi Malaysia are offering free rebates and coupons for a special sale on 16 September 2014. According to the teaser image, more than RM1.4 million worth of rebates will be made available to Mi Fans along with an Mi 4 smartphone (3G only) for one lucky Mi Fan. Coupons will include an RM25 coupon for any Xiaomi phone, RM10 coupon for any Xiaomi accessory and RM5 coupon for any Xiaomi accessory. To get these coupons, Mi Fans will have to like the Xiaomi Malaysia Facebook page, enabling a profile rating or Mi Star on the Xiaomi site. Share this link on your Facebook wall to get entered into the Mi 4 lucky draw.     Nearly everyone is interested in the Xiaomi Mi 4 with one of the biggest question on everyone's lips being how does it perform (although here in Malaysia the biggest would be how much)? Well, the folks at MyDrivers has obliged with an AnTuTu score, camera samples and screenshots. We're quite happy to tell you that the Xiaomi Mi 4 scored 37156 on AnTuTu, which is quite high for a smartphone. For a comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S5 usually gets around 35000+. Xiaomi Malaysia still haven't revealed any specific Malaysia release dates or pricing but the current pricing is RMB 1999 (RM1099) for the 16GB version and RMB 2499 (RM1299) for the 64GB version.

    Xiaomi recently made their latest flagship smartphone, the Mi 4 officialy with a launching in Beijing yesterday. The smartphone may not have a metal backside but it does offer a tough stainless steel frame and very flat and thin Apple iPhone like design. The more notable tech specs for the Xiaomi Mi 4 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 4G LTE and the new Sony MIX214 camera sensor for the 13MP rear camera.     The upcoming Xiaomi Mi-4 or Mi4 smartphone is set for it's official announcement tomorrow on 22 July 2014 but leaks of the device have appeared showing the front and back. Somewhat blurry, the images show a shiny backside but according to those who have actually touched it, this is actually plastic. When it was first teased with the statement, "The journey of a piced of steel metal" many industry watchers thought it would mean an all metal casing, including us. Still the statement would still be accurate if the Xiaomi Mi4 uses a tough unibody frame. Other rumoured features and tech specs include a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB storage, a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera. THe smartphone may also have a large 3000 mAh battery.
