    Xiaomi's MIUI 8 beta has been going well so far, the Stable version is ready and has started rolling out in Over-the-Air (OTA) update worldwide.     Initially announced in February, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will soon be available in Malaysia for RM1549 starting from 18 June 2016 (via distributor Thorus Technology). Featuring tech specs that include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM, front fingerprint sensor, 16MP 4-axis OIS rear canera and a metal unibody frame with 3D glass back, the Mi 5 is still very relevant, especially for below RM1550

    Render leaks of the upcoming Xiaomi Max have appeared, at it looks a lot like the Mi 5. If you take a look at the provided image, it looks like a larger version of Mi 5 with the Home button along with two capacitive keys. We can also guess that the fingerprint sensor is integrated into the home button as the back panel is visibly plain. Looking closely at the edge of the smartphone, you will notice both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right side.

    The Xiaomi Mi 5 offers a curved ceramic back that looks both sleek and stylish. However, YouTuber Alex Wang wanted to see if it is also tough, which you can see in the scratch test video below. Tech specs include a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM with a 16MP 4-axis OIS rear camera.

    The Mi 5 is still unreleased in China, but is set for a sale date of 6 April 2016. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet for the Mi 5 but with the the recent Redmi Note 3 release here in Malaysia, we're hoping the Mi 5 gets here soon as well.     Xiaomi has finally revealed the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship in Barcelona today, after two long years in the making and a possible delay making room for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, the Mi 5 will have three variants which are the standard edition, high edition and ceramic exclusive. All three look similar with curved rear edges that should fit the user's hand comfortably. The first two are also fullmetal and protected by Gorilla Glass 4.0, whereas the ceramic exclusive edition, as the name implies is made of ceramic and glass.
