Based on a statement by AusDroid.net, Xiaomi has mentioned that the Xiaomi Mi 9T could be getting the Android 10 update around October 2019. Not only that, but they have also mentioned that the new update will come with new features such as a system-wide dark theme, improved gesture controls, better privacy contarols and more.

Xiaomi has heard your pleas and seen your requests. The much loved Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro is now in Malaysia with some pretty powerful tech specs and features which include the Snapdragon 855 chipset, a full screen AMOLED display and a triple rear camera setup. Those flagship specs will be priced from RM1599 and will be available starting on the 30th of August.

I’ve been called a flagship snob quite a number of times due to me being quite judgy when it comes to budget and mid-range smartphones. Granted, I’ve been quite spoilt when it comes to smartphones and when you’ve tried the best of the best, it's hard to lower your expectations.

However, the Xiaomi Mi 9T completely changed my expectations when it comes to mid-range devices. Priced at RM1199, this device is powered by the Snapdragon 730 chipset yet performs tasks that any casual smartphone user would do everyday beautifully. Starting from 16 July until 26 July, Xiaomi will be rewarding owners of the Xiaomi Mi 9T with prizes with a total worth of up to RM5000. The prizes include products such as the Mi Electric Scooter worth RM1729 as well as the Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner currently worth RM1199. In addition to that, the Mi LED Smart Bulb will be awarded as a consolation prize for those who participated in the exclusive giveaway.
