Xiaomi and Uber have partnered up to offer on-demand delivery of the recently released Xiaomi Mi Note smartphone. Priced at RM1549 the Mi Note brings a 5.7-inch 2.5D glass covered display to the table with a 13MP rear camera packing in optical image stabilization and 4K video recording. This Xiaomi - Uber collaboration will be available on 27 July 2015 via the Uber app. The process is just like ordering a ride from Uber, users simply open the Uber app, use the slider at the bottom of the screen to select "Xiaomi" (which shows Xiaomi-orange colored Uber cars on the map equipped to deliver the new smartphone), and hit request. Payment will be charged directly to the credit card tied to a rider's Uber account and a Mi Note will be delivered to the user within a few minutes. This will let you not only get the Xiaomi Mi Note a day earlier than it's online release, but will also deliver you the Mi Note with as little fuss as possible. Check out what Xiaomi and Uber had to say about it:
“We’re thrilled to bring the amazing Mi Note to consumers across Singapore and Kuala Lumpur through this pioneering partnership with Xiaomi. The power of the on-demand economy is transforming the consumer experience and we are excited to take this to another level in Southeast Asia.” Mike Brown, Regional General Manager, Southeast Asia & Australia, New Zealand, Uber.
“We are truly excited to bring Mi Note, Xiaomi’s most beautifully designed flagship, to Singapore and Malaysia. Partnering with Uber for a pre-launch flash sale means Mi fans can get their hands on the new Mi Note faster than ever before, and in an innovative and convenient way.” Steve Vickers, General Manager, Xiaomi Southeast Asia

The folks at Mi Malaysia have just launched the Xiaomi Mi Note officially for Malaysia. The version with 64GB storage is priced at a fairly affordable RM1549 and available for purchase at 12pm on 28 July 2015. Initially revealed earlier in January 2015, the Mi Note combines a full metal unibody frame with a 3D glass back and 2.5D glass front (both using Corning Gorilla Glass) for a smartphone that still looks as stunning as ever. Standout features are the 6.95mm thin curved glass body, 13MP f/2.0 rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and Hi-Fi audio with dedicated audio chip. Other tech specs are a mix of old and new with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage, a 5.7-inch display, 4G LTE connectivity and a 3000 mAh battery. The new RM1549 pricing is a lot better than previous third-party seller pricing around RM1669 especially since this version packs in 64GB of storage but since it is a localized version you also get 4K UHD video recording which was missing in the previous 16GB storage Xiaomi Mi Note we reviewed. Here's what Xiaomi Mi Malaysia had to say about it:
“We are truly excited to bring Mi Note, Xiaomi’s most beautifully designed flagship, to Malaysia. We believe that Mi fans in Malaysia will appreciate such high quality innovation made available to them at an incredible price.” Steve Vickers, General Manager, Xiaomi Southeast Asia
