After presenting the Xiaomi 12 series, the Chinese company still has a few other flagships waiting to launch this year. Unfortunately, it looks like a device will be scrapped off the list, and it's the Xiaomi Mix 5.

Besides the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra, the Mix 5 is another highly anticipated device launching this year. After OPPO revealed its new fast-charging technologies, including 150W and 240W charging speeds, there's no way that the Mix 5 will stick with anything less than that. Now, the latest information hinting the device will settle for a 150W fast charge.

Before 2021 ended, Xiaomi revealed its latest flagship smartphones, Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, alongside a more budget-friendly Xiaomi 12X. If you know how Xiaomi launched its flagship series previously, you would be expecting the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to debut in the upcoming months. However, it seems like there's a change of plan this time, as a report suggests there will be something else to replace the device.

The one tech spec that brands seem to be trying to hammer at consumers is charging speed. Every year, the maximum number increases to a new level and in 2022 it could go up to 200W. In fact, the Xiaomi Mix 5 could feature this tech spec.
