Do you live in Perak and love Xiaomi? Well, great news to you all. SNS Network (M) Sdn Bhd has opened the first authorized Mi Store in Perak. Located in the heart of Ipoh (Ipoh Parade Shopping Mall, to be exact), the residents there can now check out the latest Mi devices, accessories and so many more!

Hey Xiaomi fans, MIUI 10 is coming upon us and the company just released a scheduled date for all Mi devices to receive an Over-The-Air (OTA) update soon. Since 29 June 2018, the Mi series such as the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, Mi Mix 2S, Mi Mix 2, Mi Mix, Mi 6X, Mi 5 and Mi Note have gotten the update. The following update will be for the Redmi series in July this month.

In conjunction with Xiaomi's 8th birthday, there will be a Mi Fan Festival hosted by Xiaomi where you can get freebies and discounts on your purchases. The festival, as well as their juicy discounts, are available at the official Mi Store on Lazada and in all participating Mi Stores in Malaysia.

While it's kinda unfortunate that we didn't get to see the honor 9 land in Malaysia officially, instead what we got was the honor 9 Lite from honor Malaysia. This is the company's first ever quad-camera device and for RM749 only, this is really a good bargain for a budget smartphone with a nice design. Xiaomi or Mi Malaysia have officially announced that the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage versions of their Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are now available in Malaysia from RM679 and RM749. Available from 7 February 2018 at all 3 Mi stores, participating Mi Zones and their official Mi store on Lazada, the smartphones both sport fullview 18:9 aspect ratio displays and will come in black, blue and gold.

Although the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus aren't released yet, Donovan Sung, the Director of Product Management from Xiaomi has released the official image render of the phones online from his Twitter account. The phones do look good sporting full front displays with four colours of black, blue, gold and rose gold.

According to sources, it is confirmed that Xiaomi will be releasing two new smartphones on 7 December 2017 and most probably in their home-based, China. The two smartphones are to be called the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus and apparently, popular pop band SNH48 will be introducing the models as seen in the cover image above.
