It's been a well-known fact that Xiaomi has started to focus on manufacturing electric vehicles (EVs). But during a meeting recently, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi said that Xiaomi Auto has been making good progress and mass production is expected to begin in the first half of 2024.

As we head towards the end of 2022, Canalys announced that Xiaomi has recently topped the list of smartphone vendors in Malaysia for Q3 2022. According to Canalys' report, Xiaomi maintained its first spot on the list for the second consecutive quarter with a 25% unit share for sell-in shipments.

Today, Xiaomi Corporation has announced that a donation of USD 100,000 (~RM 418,150) from the Xiaomi Foundation has been contributed to both Malaysia and the Philippines. The donation was given to the Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia's emergency flood-relief fund as well as the World Vision Philippines. 

Today, Xiaomi just announced the corporation has completed a business registration of Xiaomi EV Company Limited. EV stands for electric vehicle and this officially marks Xiaomi's first debut and a milestone in the automotive industry.

Whether they're relevant or not, smartphone brands continually push for greater specs these days. For Xiaomi, fast-charging tech is one of them. The company's 200W fast-charging was recently showcased in May, and it could come sooner than we think.

This is because the company revealed that their smartphones and TVs lineup is now slightly more expensive starting from July onwards.

Today, Xiaomi has made another breakthrough in technology. This time, the company have a new world record of charging a phone in both wireless and wired charging with 15 and 8 minutes respectively.

Back in early May, Xiaomi was happy to share the news that the company was no longer blacklisted by the US government. However, it was even better news when Xiaomi released a statement not too long ago that the US government no longer view the company as a Communist Chinese Military Company (CCMC).
