Looking to #TerminatetheRivals and nearly every other budget smartphone maker, Lazada Malaysia recently revealed the Xiaomi Mi 9T 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant for a shocking early bird offer of RM1099 on 25 June 2019. Does this disrupt the Malaysian market? YES! Is it official? Not just yet, because while it may have appeared on Lazada, we haven’t seen it appear on the Mi Malaysia Facebook page or their official site.

Just last evening yesterday, Lazada Malaysia leaked an alleged price tag of the Xiaomi Mi 9T for RM1299 but of course, the page has since then been removed. Coming soon on this Thursday (20 June 2019), Xiaomi is heavily promoting the latest smartphone with three new short advertisements.

The price of the Xiaomi Mi 9T has been leaked on Lazada starting from as low as RM1299 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant while the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant were not shown on the listing. That being said, we can expect the latter variant to start from RM1499 onwards.

Looks like the Xiaomi Mi 9T will be launched on 20 of June 2019, based on an invitation we have received not too long ago. From what we know from Xiaomi’s official website, the Mi 9T will be Xiaomi’s very first smartphone to come with a front-facing pop-up camera. Furthermore, it also comes with an triple AI assisted camera sensor in the rear as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi has announced today that the Xiaomi Mi 9T has been officially unveiled in Malaysia, starting from the price of RM1199 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM while the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM will be priced from RM1399. The device will be available at all Xiaomi Mi Stores nationwide, their official website as well as various e-commerce partners such as Shopee and Lazada Malaysia.

Yesterday, Xiaomi had hinted that another variant of the Xiaomi Mi 9 is coming soon but did not reveal its specific name. They asked users if the letter K, I or T was more preferable. Today, the company revealed device name - the Xiaomi Mi 9T on Twitter and asked fans what the letter T stands for alongside a photo of a completely notchless phone.

Reports went around mentioning that the Redmi K20 may be going by another name outside of China - specifically, the Xiaomi 9T. Xiaomi took to Twitter this morning to tease a brand new addition to the Xiaomi Mi 9 family and it seems like it may be named the Xiaomi 9T.
