T-Series is the first Youtube channel to hit 100 million subscriptions. The channel took to Twitter to celebrate the news, mentioning that they have also garnered over 70 billion views during their journey. Pewdiepie, who previously held the crown of having the most subscribed channel, now takes second place with 96 million subs.

Not too long ago, Google had announced that they will be shutting down Youtube Gaming app at the end of March but that didn’t happen. At least, not yet. Now, the company has announced that they will be officially shutting the doors to the gaming streaming app on the 30th of May.

If you aren’t up to speed, Youtube Premium subscribers had access to a feature called picture-in-picture. The feature allows users to view Youtube videos while doing other tasks on their device. Now the feature is rolling out for everyone globally, including those who are not subscribed to Youtube Premium.

Binging Youtube videos is now even better thanks to an update for the Youtube app on iOS. You can now swipe left and right to switch between next and previous videos on your list instead of having to exit full screen and pick a video. The update should be rolling out throughout this week for all iOS users.

Google Malaysia and TNS Research recently got together to reveal the answer to the question, "Who watches YouTube in Malaysia?". Surprisingly enough, research reveals that it isn't just all our kids watching chocolate surprise egg videos. Instead, the answer turns out to be the millenials of Malaysia and many of our senior citizens (about half to be exact). In fact this number is set to grow as high speed mobile Internet and mobile devices become more accessible (cheaper).
