Today, Apple announced a few new accessibility features that can help people with special needs. This includes cognitive, vision, hearing, and mobility accessibility, alongside tools for individuals who are nonspeaking or at risk of losing their ability to speak. 

Twitter today announced that a new button has been added on its Android and iOS app to toggle closed captions (cc) for its video player. The cc toggle can be found in the top-right corner of videos on Twitter should the video itself has captions available for it.

Lazada Malaysia has officially announced that the Lazada app now comes with new Chinese-language interface support on both the iOS and Android, making it more accessible than ever before. If you’re interested in changing the interface language to Chinese, all you need to do is tap on the ‘Account’ button on the bottom right corner, select the ‘Gear’ icon, and select your preferred language.

It seems that the developers of Google Chrome have recently unveiled a new Live Caption feature that will automatically generate captions on webpages that are playing audio or video. Previously, a similar feature was initially available on devices such as Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

During Samsung’s First Look 2021, Samsung unveiled many new technologies to improve accessibility as well as various ways to be more eco-friendly this year. We can expect everything that was announced during the aforementioned live stream to be found on various Samsung products such as Smart TVs, and more in the near future.
