A new rumour popped up on the internet – saying that Google may be designing their own Android Wear device, to be set under the Nexus branding. Codenamed Angelfish and Swordfish – the two devices are probably going to be the new benchmark for Android Wear devices. 

We have seen the supposed specs of the upcoming Google Nexus phone, codenamed Sailfish here. Now, we have early renders of what the smartphone may look like in its final form, and it looks unlike anything we have seen before.  

After years of waiting, and an earlier release on iOS, the classic game Final Fantasy VII is now available for players on the Android smartphone platform. This game comes 19 years after the original release on the original Sony Playstation home console, and 10 months after iOS.

We may soon see more foldable phone technology implemented in future smartphones, if these patents from Samsung are any indication. They have patents for just about any and every form imaginable, and we may see one (or more!) of them in the next 12 months.

The holy grail of portable gaming is to get PC-like performance for gaming on the go. While many have tried, many have failed as well. New startup now would like to try what other have failed before, and the idea is now close to fruition as they are kickstarting their idea of a Portable Gaming System (PGS).

A security analyst said that the best phones to have now are the Nexus devices, and phones from Samsung.

A brand that many may have forgotten, Blackberry is reported in the midst of developing three new models that runs Android. Codenamed Neon, Argon and Mercury, the report states that the three models will be for three different price ranges.

We have seen the specs for the “Sailfish” Nexus model, and now we have the specs of the second model, “Marlin” spotted online, if the report is legitimate. Both Google devices will be built by HTC this time around, and the specs of the phone looks to be quite good for a flagship device.

With the Xiaomi Mi Max, Redmi 3S and the Mi 5 – Xiaomi is on a roll in launching new models for the mass market. However we may see more models coming soon from them, if this leak from Geekbench is correct.
