About a month or so ago the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper decided to fire all of its 28 professional photographers and provided each of it's reporters with an Apple iPhone. These writers and reporters were instantly "promoted" to photojournalists with the responsibility of taking their own pictures for the stories they were reporting on. The more affordable Apple iPhone that Apple itself said they'd never make looks to becoming a reality as more leaked images of casing shells appear. Unlike previous images these don't look like rendered images drawn by an expert 3D artist with too much time on their hands. The green casing shell reveals a metal undercover that looks like it would fit well with the iPhone and the Apple logo on the back seems to complete this rumour.

As owners of the first LTE-A network in the world, SK Telecom have approached Apple with the intention of having LTE-A support in an Apple iPhone device. Since the next iPhone to come out from Apple would be the iPhone 5S it would make it the next smartphone to have LTE-A support (and offer SK Telecom another LTE-A device for those LTE-A users who don't like the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A).

Apple's upcoming smartphone, the Apple iPhone 5S and the rumoured affordable iPhone Light have recently got some leaked images, this time in the form of to-scale drawings. While we've seen any number of drop tests between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Apple iPhone 5, we've never seen how much punishment each device can actually take. The video below shows just that, putting both smartphones through total destruction tests to see just how tough and durable each smartphone is. The results may surprise you, especially considering that one is made from a supposedly tougher aluminum unibody, while another is mostly premium plastic. Granted, the Samsung Galaxy S4 does have Gorilla Glass 3 but this is only good for screen related tests.

Apple has always been more about their optimized software or operating system than other smartphone or device makers, so it comes as no surprise that the main reveal of WWDC 2013 was iOS 7. Coming with many new features, the new operating system will be available in Q3 (probably around August), for Apple iPhone 5 users. Developers and those with access can download the beta through the developer portal.
