MBPJ is utilising an infrared headcount system at two Ramadhan bazaars to ensure SOP compliance

The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has introduced a rather eye-catching way to ensure Covid-19 SOPs compliance at Ramadhan bazaars this year. Get this, the city council is using an infrared headcount system to control the number of people coming into bazaars!

Currently being utilised at the bazaars in SS 6/1, Kelana Jaya and Section 4, Kota Damansara, the headcount system ensures that only two people are allowed to be at the same stall at one given time. With a limit of 30 stalls for each location, MBPJ set the maximum crowd capacity at 60 people at one time.
