    JPJ blacklists drivers with 3 types of summonses starting this July

    Starting July 2025, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) will continue to block and blacklist vehicle owners who have outstanding charges involving three types of summons issued by the enforcement agency. The three types of summons notices issued by the JPJ are the Automatic Awareness Security System (AwAS) summons (Summary 53A), Investigative Interview Notice (114) and Stamped Summons Notice/JPJ(P)23 (115).

  • The Communications and Digital Ministry (KKD) has advised the public to beware of suspicious calls in which irresponsible quarters are using KKD’s name to commit scams. The modus operandi of these scammers is to call unsuspecting victims and claim that their phone number is blacklisted for being involved in criminal acts.

However, the good news has arrived today with an official statement from Xiaomi claiming that the restriction has now been removed.

However, unlike HUAWEI, Xiaomi will still able to import and use technologies from the U.S. without a need for a license. Following the news, Xiaomi has issued a statement on the matter as follows:
