In stepping towards advancing environmental sustainability in Malaysia, Samsung Malaysia Electronics and Maybank have announced a strategic partnership focused on integrating AI-powered, energy-efficient technologies with sustainable financing solutions. The collaboration aims to support Malaysian households and businesses (including SMEs) in transitioning to greener lifestyles and operations.

Recently, SNS Network announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to launch a fully managed, local AI cloud infrastructure service hosted in Malaysia. It is powered by 64 NVIDIA Hopper GPUs across eight Dell PowerEdge XE9680 servers (AI Factory) with NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software. 

Microsoft has announced that it is currently investigating an outage with its Microsoft Teams app, though the company did not detail how many users have been affected. Earlier today at around 10am Malaysian time, thousands of Microsoft Teams users reported that there are unable to access the app or use any of its features.

Today, the Malaysian government has announced the movement control order will be extended until 14 April 2020. It is not surprising at all as cases in our country have been increasing these few days. Therefore, it is better to stay home for a few more weeks to halt the spread. However, this may not be good news for some of the non-essential businesses especially micro-SMEs. Luckily, Axiata is here to save the day with its subsidiaries Celcom and Boost, as they’re contributing a RM150 million cash fund to support small businesses that are facing difficulties.
