Ever since the Next Generation Emergency Response Services 999 (NG MERS 999) was released earlier this week, the general reception towards the SaveME999 app has not been good due to the poor registration process. However, it seems that Malaysians were unable to reach the 999 emergency line and experienced slower response times.

Celcom has recently introduced a new voice call service in Malaysia which allows for better calls over any WiFi network, regardless of mobile coverage. Called Voice Over WiFI (VoWIFI), the service allows users to make calls indoors through WiFI connection, hence the quality would be much better, especially if your mobile coverage indoors are not up to par.
