Sony Semiconductor Solutions recently announced their LYTIA L910 50MP stacked CMOS mobile image sensor. Designed to capture an immense 100 dB high dynamic range using only a single exposure it is the first to use a Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor (LOFIC) structure. No Malaysia release dates or price details yet but it should be heading out to brands in Q3 of 2026.

Malaysia’s smartphone market has always been vibrant, with consumers having a keen interest in devices that offer the best camera capabilities. Older flagship phones often present a great value proposition, combining high-end specs with a reduced price. Here, we explore five Old but still Gold flagship phones available in Malaysia known for their excellent camera performance, including notable models from HUAWEI and HONOR.

A recent interview with Jo Harlow, Executive VP from Nokia may have confirmed that we will soon see Lytro-like cameras in Nokia's Cameraphones. In our earlier articles regarding Pelican Imaging's 16-lens array camera Nokia's involvement with the company hinted that they may use it, this interview just confirms it. While the interview was more about computational photography, it also dropped hints that we may soon see dual-SIM Nokia Lumia smartphones as well.
