Since 30 September 2025, many Malaysians have utilised the BUDI95 programme. However, this also created a new problem: Malaysians residing in Singapore are effectively locked out. With this, the Malaysian government will create a new pathway to allow citizens holding Singapore driving licences to access the BUDI95 fuel subsidy.

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) today revealed further details regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal which allows members to withdraw up to RM10000. Taking to its official Facebook page, the statutory body revealed that only one single payment will be made to members under the scheme, starting from 20 April 2022.
To be eligible for the Special Withdrawal, members must be under 55 years old, a Malaysian citizen and have at least RM150 remaining in their EPF accounts. The scheme is available for non-Malaysian citizens too, including Permanent Residents.
