Today, CARSOME, Google Cloud and Searce announced a multi-year collaboration to expand CARSOME's growth in the SEA markets. The collaboration will allow CARSOME to leverage Google Cloud's platform services across modern infrastructure, cybersecurity, data analytics, and gen AI to enhance car transactions and ownership experiences.

Today, Microsoft reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Malaysia’s cloud and AI economy with its upcoming hyper-scale cloud, the Malaysia West cloud region. Scheduled to go live in the second quarter of 2025, this will mark the company's first cloud region in the country, strategically situated in Greater Kuala Lumpur.

At the Microsoft AI Day today, Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO, Microsoft announced that the company will invest US$2.2 billion (~RM10.5 billion) over the next four years to support Malaysia’s digital transformation. This marks the single largest investment in its 32-year history in the country. 

Starting from 1 June 2021, Google will no longer be offering free unlimited storage for photos that are uploaded onto Google Photos using the “High quality” setting. With that being said, you might want to consider subscribing to Google One which lets provides you with up to 2TB of additional storage space starting from as low as RM8.49 a month.

Clearly cloud based gaming is the future. Earlier today, Nvidia announced that their streaming service, the Nvidia GeForce NOW will be making its way to Android powered mobile devices. For those not in the know, the Nvidia GeForce NOW streaming service is a way for gamers to stream games from their game libraries on their mobile devices.
