Today, TM One officially launched its Innovation Lab and Enterprise 5G Lab in TM Digital Academy at Multimedia University. Officiated by Minister of Digital, YB Gobind Singh Deo, the two labs were designed to serve as hubs to bring together the latest technologies, digital leaders and inspiring ideas. 

After the recent sale of Menara TM, TM or Telekom Malaysia have officially launched their new HQ (Headquarters) and Campus in Cyberjaya. The campus houses a new TM Innovation Hub, TM Network Intelligence Centre and TM Core Data Centre. 

In this latest news, there seems to be a stumbling block for Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB). According to sources, our Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa just stated that the government may have second thoughts about its current 5G wholesale model plan.

Not only is December the Christmas season but it's also the month where we expect 5G to be launched by the Malaysian government. Digital Nasional Berhad is responsible for rollout the technology soon and the latest news has it that the commercial release date is 15 December 2021.

In a collaboration between the Ministry of Finance Cyberview Sdn Bhd, as well as Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Cyberjaya has become the first city in Malaysia to go cashless. The initiative which is called Cashless Ecosystem for Cyberjaya, which was originally introduced about two years ago, with more than 80% of the merchants adopting at least one e-payment solution.

A local company in Malaysia by the name of Average Drone aims to revolutionize the delivery process, by utilizing drones to deliver food across Cyberjaya from the end of June 2019 onwards. As it is still just a trial, the results of this test run will further dictate whether this system will be deployed in other regions of Malaysia.

VADS Lyfe and Cyberview Sdn Bhd recently launched the pilot of the Smart Traffic Analytics and Recognition System as part of Malaysia's Internet of Things initiative, particularly involving traffic. Imagine traffic lights that let the system know when they are broken and adaptive and intelligent traffic lights that change the sequence of traffic as or when traffic happens in real time. The system utilizes existing video camera systems with a few more additional cameras to make these decisions intelligently.
