Previously, Threads was tied directly to your Instagram account but deleting your Threads profile would mean doing the same for the latter too. It was quite a bizarre move, to say the least, but you can do it now thanks to the long-awaited update.

While everyone is exploring how Threads work, some discovered that deleting your Threads account is not that simple. In the Supplemental Privacy Policy section, it is stated that “Your Threads Profile is Part of Your Instagram Account. Therefore, it may be deleted at any time by deleting your Instagram account”.

Almost everyone has a Google Account but so are inactive ones. With this, Google has announced that its inactive accounts will be shut down in due time. As long as the Google Account (whether it's Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar, YouTube and Google Photos) has not been used or signed in for at least two years, it shall be deactivated.
