    Based on a statement by theverge, it seems that Twitter could allow users to send voice notes to one another via DMs sometime in the near future. While not much is known in regards to when the feature will be officially available for the masses, we do know that the maximum length for each voice message could be around 20 seconds or more.

    Twitter has recently posted on their account stating that it’s now easier to respond to your direct messages thanks to a new chatbox, which is located on the bottom right when using Twitter on the desktop. Do note that the aforementioned feature is currently being rolled out and it might not be available to everyone as of this moment.

    Based on Twitter user Matt Navarra, Instagram will be shutting down their standalone Direct app most likely by the end of May 2019. But fret not, as all the conversations that took place on the standalone app will migrate over to the Instagram itself.
