With the announcement of Malaysia’s vision to be a cashless society, a research has been conducted to see the e-wallet trends in Malaysia in the past 2 years. The research was conducted by App Annie Intelligence together with iPrice Group.

In a collaboration between Shell Malaysia and Boost e-wallet, more than 800 Shell outlets across Malaysia will officially support payment via the Boost App starting April 2019. To give a little more information regarding the Boost E-Wallet, it is a mobile app that stores digital currency which then can be used to make purchases and payments to partnered services.

In the midst of multiple phone releases, U Mobile has announced a strategic partnership with Razer to cater to Malaysians in terms of gaming. According to their press release, the two companies will be working in three key areas - e-payments, eSports and 5G connectivity.
