Apple raised a few eyebrows recently after the tech giant decided to remove the physical SIM card slot from all the iPhone 14 models in the United States. With eSIM the only option for iPhone 14 series users, many raised concerns over the viability of using the devices while travelling abroad and Apple has since reassured consumers of the benefits of using eSIM while travelling.

Google is reportedly working on a feature that would allow for devices running Android 13 to support multiple profiles on a single eSIM. This would essentially allow users to connect to more than one carrier with a single eSIM and make SIM cards obsolete.
Senior technical editor for Android developer platform Esper, Mishaal Rahman in a blog post last Thursday alluded to this feature coming to the big Android 13 update. However, no release date timeframe for the update was mentioned.

OPPO’s Vice President officially unveiled the first renders of their upcoming smartwatch, which could be unveiled at any moment this year. Based on the renders, the aforementioned smartwatch shows quite a bit of resemblance to the Apple Watch other than the main difference being the two buttons on the right side and a lack of a crown.

eSIM seems to be making its way to become a trend. Maxis and Celcom already have their own eSIM package and the latest player to enter this market is Yoodo. Yoodo consumers can sign-up and register without going to a store, as they can just do it from the comfort of their homes through the Yoodo app.

Today, Celcom has announced that its own eSIM (embedded SIM) package is now available. According to their website, only three phones are eligible for eSIM which are the Apple iPhone XS 64GB, iPhone XS Max 64GB and the iPhone XR 64GB model starting from RM58 per month.
