In an increasingly "AI-dense" world, tech companies are all thinking about how they can better integrate AI. For mobile devices, we're seeing AI-powered features and intelligent assistants. But Samsung wants to go one step further and turn smartphones and tablets into AI powerhouses.

When it comes to Qualcomm Snapdragon chips and Samsung Galaxy flagships, they are often seen together but that might change next year. According to reports, Samsung may actually ditch Qualcomm and increase the usage of its own Exynos chips from now on. 

Every year, Samsung launches a new flagship Exynos chipset and many would wonder "Is this the year?" We don't know if the Exynos 2400 is 'it' quite yet. But Samsung clearly isn't giving up on developing Exynos chips because the Exynos 2500 is already in the works.

Samsung is reportedly stepping up its game in terms of mobile processors, with the upcoming Samsung Exynos 2400 SoC looking like a world-beater based on the leaks around it. In fact, it may even outperform the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s Apple A17 Pro SoC.

While the Samsung Galaxy S23 series was Snapdragon-only, that might not be the case for next year's Galaxy S24 series. Sources suggest that Samsung is already working on the Exynos 2400 chipset, and equip it on devices for selected regions.

Most of you might already know that the next Samsung Galaxy S23 series will get powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, regardless of the region. However, it seems like the Korean tech giant hasn't given up on its in-house chipset yet, as it forms a new team to focus on next flagship chip's development.

Rumours have been saying that the next generation Samsung Galaxy S flagship series won't feature the in-house Exynos chip. Today, we might have gotten the confirmation from Qualcomm with an executive spilling the tea at a recent conference.

Diablo Immortal is possibly one of the biggest mobile game launches globally. Although it has yet to release in Malaysia (coming soon on 22 June), there is news reporting that Exynos devices aren't able to launch the mobile game at all. 

If this rumour were true, Samsung would stop using the Exynos chips on its flagship devices for quite a while. According to the report, the Korean tech giant will take time to revamp its in-house chips and not release new chips for the upcoming two years.

South Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly planning to use custom in-house processors specific for its popular Galaxy S series smartphones starting from the year 2025. This plan is allegedly due to the insufficient yields and poor thermal management of the latest generation of Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets.
