    Unifi has recently updated its website to include a new Fibre Broadband package, starting from a promotional RM199 for speeds up to 300Mbps download as well as upload speeds of up to 50Mbps. Based on the FAQ document, once the promotion ends on 30 June 2019, the price will revert back to its original cost of RM259. That being said, if you sign up before the promotional period ends, the promo price of RM199 a month will be charged indefinitely until the account is terminated.

    In conjunction with the Malaysia Day Celebrations which is happening on the 16 September 2018, Celcom will be offering residents in Sabah their Celcom Home Fibre and Celcom Business Fibre with up to 50% lower price for speeds up to 100Mbps. All existing Celcom Home Fibre 120, Celcom Home Fibre 150, and Celcom Home Fibre 180 will gradually upgrade towards the 100Mbps by the end of September 2018 at no extra cost.

    Previously we have reported that TM Unifi had announced their unifi Basic Plan which has speeds of up to 30Mbps. But there's a catch, customers who subscribe to the Basic Plan is capped at 60GB data quota, it is only available to households who have a total income of less than RM4500 and it is available exclusively on the TM Unifi's official website.

    You can pre-order the unifi Basic Plan which offers 30Mbps for RM79 a month with a 60GB data cap. However, customers are required to present a payslip to prove that their household is currently earning less than RM4500 a month or BRIM acceptance letter in order to sign up for the unifi Basic Plan. Not only that, they have to be within unifi covered areas and be at least 18 and above.

    Unifi has been hinting on their social media profiles that the Unifi Turbo Plan will offer 10 times increase in broadband speeds at no additional cost to existing home and business customers. There was no specifics regarding the exact speed increase but that will be known soon during a briefing held by TM next week on the 12 July 2018, which should give us a better clue as what to expect from the Unifi Turbo Plan such as the price of the plan as well as the speeds that it offers.
