Recently, Nor Rafidz Nazri of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) announced that a special body to oversee entities engaged in providing Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) would be set up while the Consumer Credit Act (CCA) would impose tighter regulations on BNPL credit providers.
