If you've been thinking about becoming a Grab driver, now is probably a good time. Grab Malaysia has announced that those who sign up to become a new Grab driver-partner before 31 March 2020 will be awarded up to RM800 in bonus and subsidies. The Philippines is set to launch GrabPay Card during the first quarter of 2020 after it launches in Singapore last year. Today, Grab Malaysia mentioned it is interested in launching the numberless GrabPay Card locally within this year. 

Just a heads-up, the e-hailing regulations in Malaysia will take effect starting from 12 October 2019 onwards. What this means is that ordering a ride might take longer than usual, and Grab Malaysia has released a statement so this is what they have to say. 

Rejoice, durian lovers! The #GrabDurian promo is back by Grab Malaysia and it will be a month-long Musang King party. Starting from 26 until 28 July period, this will be exclusive for GrabPay customers where they get to enjoy a Musang King durian at a special discounted price of RM20/KG via GrabPay e-wallet.

Drivers for e-hailing services such as the ever popular Grab has been instructed to register for their Public Service Vehicle (PSV) license starting last April. As the deadline of July 12 looms ahead, we riders may be seeing a jump in price and waiting time for the popular service as the fee for the PSV license is steep.

To ensure a better ride experience on its rideshare service, Grab is adding yet another security feature to the service called Passenger Verification. It requires new users to verify their identity via live selfie with the help of facial recognition technology.

If you’re constantly on the move and ordering food with Grab, you can now save 55% on your rides and orders with GrabClub. It is a monthly subscription plan and so far it has only one plan, the Grab-it-All Pass, which is priced at RM50 but is actually valued at RM110.
