The government has ordered all private businesses to be closed down until further notice and many were wondering if Grab will cease operation. Thankfully, they are not.

Based on a report by astroawani.com, it seems that around 50 victims fell prey to a group of E-Wallet scammers who have managed to bag around RM600000. In order to pull the scam off, some individuals in the group will act as agents who will seek out selected individuals and promise them up to RM300 if they were to sign up.

Grab Malaysia has announced that those who sign up to become a new Grab driver-partner before 31 March 2020 will be awarded up to RM800 in bonus and subsidies. Grab has officially announced that they will be supporting the Malaysian Government in encouraging cashless payments adoption, by rewarding customers up to three times more GrabRewards Points to those who pay via GrabPay. Unfortunately, those who pay via cash will not be eligible for the extra points as it only applies to GrabPay transactions.

The Philippines is set to launch GrabPay Card during the first quarter of 2020 after it launches in Singapore last year. Today, Grab Malaysia mentioned it is interested in launching the numberless GrabPay Card locally within this year.

E-Wallets offered by Touch ‘n Go, Grab, as well as Boost started giving out the RM30 E-Tunai Rakyat from today onwards until 14 March 2020. Malaysians who earn below RM100000 a year and are above 18 years old, will be able to claim the RM30 from one of the platforms mentioned.

It seems that Grab has started testing the new GrabBike transportation service around the KLCC area with price starting from as low as RM3.70. In addition to that, there is also the GrabBike for female passengers where they will ride only with a female rider.
